08:15 - 08:30 Self-service reporting - setting the scene

Self-service is all the rage across many segments of the IT industry. In this presentation we will be focusing on its impact within the business intelligence community, though similar considerations would apply in other areas. In any case, why is self-service arousing such interest? What is it really? And what does it actually provide? In addition, if you understand that there's no such thing as a free lunch, then what are the hidden considerations that you need to think about that are associated with self-service? These and other questions will be addressed in this presentation.
